Jehovah told Adam and Eve that they and their children, grandchildren, and other descendants were to take over the earth. By giving our great-grandparents the Garden of Eden, God showed them that He wanted them to turn the whole Earth into a paradise. Adam and Eve were to be busy beautifying and nurturing the Garden of Eden. Together with their descendants, they were to expand the Garden of Eden until it would cover the entire planet.
